July 26 2022 | The Biafra Restoration Voice
We are known for respecting people both our people and strangers living in our community. We are taught from infancy by our parents and guardians the culture of respect which includes: -
a. How to greet an elder first in the morning and any time of the day.
b. How to conduct yourself when in public and in the presence of elderly people.
c. How to receive gift from elderly people respectfully with two hands.
d. Conflict resolution in our community is the exclusive right of our elders "Ndi Nze na Ozo" and our mothers "Umu Ada na Umu Nwunye"
With the coming of the white man and introduction of his own version of the "Bible Faith" We threw away our holy traditions and embraced absurdity in the name of Westernization and modernization.
It is quite understandable that some of our elders who witnessed the Biafran genocide of 1967-1970 as adults are victims of "PWTS" Post War Trauma Syndrome. They are among the people that see a call for Referendum and Biafra Restoration by this generation of Biafrans as a call for another Biafra Genocide.
As writers and activists, what is our responsibility to these our elders.
We are to shun using abusive words when confronted with questions from people online. Social Media is a place where you meet different class of people, some of them are elders who may need to be sensitized, please do so with spirit of humility.
Nigeria has frustrated many people, but we should not allow Nigeria to destroy our morality.
Nigeria leaders with their ineptitude have really taught our people; children, youths and the elderly very important lessons. What are these lessons? The obvious facts.
1. We are not part Nigeria and we are not accepted to be part of it in practice.
2. We are seen as a threat by every ethnic group because of our industrious nature and the ability to succeed where others fail.
3. We are the most hated, the most envied and the most abused race, for being loved by Elohim and for beautifying us with natural and spiritual gifts.
4. We are also envied and hated because of our blessed land which is rich in mineral deposits both known and unknown.
5. Most importantly, we are endangered species, facing threat of total extermination by Nigeria and Britain. The same Britain masterminded the Biafra genocide of 1967-1970, where over 6Million Biafrans were massacred.
When Mazi Nnamdi Kanu started his broadcast on Radio Biafra, he sometimes used abusive words to draw the attention of our people who were in a state of despondency. All that was out of love and good intentions, to wake our people up to reality.
Time to educate our people with a matured sense of urgency and responsibility is NOW.
We are a holy race with a culture of Respect.
