This generation of Nigerians should understand one thing; They are not the first generation to understand that Nigeria has fundamental and to some extent congenital issues. Meaning Nigeria problem started from inception or conception if you will.
They are not the first generation to work so hard to bring Nigeria their beloved country out of the woods. Many generations past even protested for a better Nigeria, among them are politicians, civil servants and students, they were shot live bullets by security agents, many were detained and tortured to death by these ineptitude and illiterate police and military.
Generations before now were taught and indoctrinated to believe that Nigeria can get better by electing the right leaders during election.
Before I lost hope in Nigeria electoral process, it’s good to inform you that I voted for MKO Abiola, I voted for Obasanjo, I voted Yar’Adua and I voted for Goodluck Jonathan. I lost hope in Nigeria election when INEC cleared a presidential candidate without a verifiable WAEC certificate in the person of Muhammadu Buhari. What does that tell you?
Nigeria's problem is as old as Nigeria, so solving Nigeria age old problem by this generation of Obidients, Atikulates and BATians is like putting new wine in old bottle.
As this is a scriptural based content, let us see what the scripture has to say: -
Mark 2:22 - And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles.
The Obidients movements, the BVAS and Movement for New Nigeria are all new wines that will burst the old bottle. Has anyone been arrested for electoral violence in Lagos? No.
Ahmed Bola Tinubu was declared winner of the Presidential Election by INEC, since then we have witnessed post-election violence against the Igbos in Tinubu's own state Lagos. What will then happen if the supreme court of Nigeria rules against the verdict of INEC and Peter Obi an Igbo man sworn in as the President of Nigeria, what then will be the fate of ndi Igbo in Lagos and other parts of Nigeria?
The old wine bottle will burst into pieces because, Ndigbo will never continue to allow themselves to be molested by anyone in Lagos or other parts of Nigeria.
